Sterling Park Site (Undeveloped)

Sterling Park Site is scheduled for green-up in January 2018 and projected to be completed by the end of the summer 2018. Green-up phase includes turf, irrigation, a pond, pathways and a parking lot.
The Sterling Property is an undeveloped park in west Boise, featuring a 3/4 acre temporary fenced dog off-leash park.
A master plan for the 8-acre undeveloped park was developed in 2010 with input from local residents. Located in West Boise at the intersection of Mitchell and Irving, the property was purchased by the City of Boise in 2004 from the Sterling family.
Additional funding will be available in 2023 for the construction of a restroom, tennis and basketball courts, picnic shelter, playground, and spray park.
Dog Off-Leash Park
Thanks to donations from the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club and volunteer labor provided by local Eagle Scouts and KeyBank employees, the City was able to open up the dog park for public use ahead of schedule.
The dog park is available for use every day from sunrise to sunset, and consists of mulch ground cover, trees, picnic tables, and shade structures. A mutt mitt dispenser and trash can are provided for picking up after your pet. There is no water, so please bring your own.
Dogs and their owners should be sure to follow the City's leash ordinance going to and coming from the dog park, and follow the Dog Off-Leash Rules and Regulations while visiting the park.
Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
Smoking is prohibited in all public parks, including within 20 feet of the Boise Greenbelt, except in designated areas within Ann Morrison and Julia Davis parks and city-owned golf courses.
NOTE: E-cigarettes are not prohibited under the ordinances.
