Borah Park is a 13-acre site featuring an outdoor pool, a small picnic shelter, a large playground, open play areas, restrooms, chess tables and public art.
The original property for the park was acquired in June 1965. In 2010, the park was expanded with the addition of a 4.6-acre undeveloped parcel on the west side of the park.
In 2011, the park designation was changed from a neighborhood park to a community park, making the site eligible for improvements funded by impact fees generated by new residential construction.
A $30,611 Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant was awarded in 2010 to the Borah Neighborhood Association to build a 1 community garden west of the pool. The garden includes raised beds, a drip irrigation system, gravel pathways, benches and fences.
The spray pad has various water features for kids of all ages. Hours are 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. There is no admission fee for the spray pad.
The splash pad previously was located inside the pool fence. With $8,000 in city funds, Boise Parks and Recreation moved the fence line, built an ADA-compliant concrete path and installed a storage shed.
The Borah Community Park Dog Off-Leash Park is not yet available. The Boise Parks and Recreation Commission approved an updated master plan for Borah Community Park in April 2012, which calls for the addition of a fenced in Dog Off-Leash Park. However, the Dog Off-Leash Park will not be developed until the green space west of the Community Garden is developed.
Until then, dogs and their owners are required to follow the City's leash and pick-up ordinance while visiting the park.

This garden was started with a Mayor's Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant of $30,611. The Department of Parks & Recreation provided design and technical assistance at no cost to the Borah Neighborhood Association. The garden gets its water and electricity from the adjacent Borah park site and Boise Parks & Recreation staff inspects the garden once a week for unsafe conditions, weeds, and vandalism. The Department must approve all signs and changes to any structures in the garden (sheds, shade structures, etc.) before they are installed. The Borah Neighborhood Association is responsible for all maintenance, weed control, operation of the irrigation system, administration of the plots, debris removal, safety, etc.

Constructed and opened in 1969. A 220,000 gallon pool great for recreation or lap swimming. It has two diving boards. It's a great place during the summer months!

Fields are scheduled and reserved for local soccer organizations and partners by Boise Parks and Recreation. Usually weekdays or early evenings are available for drop-in use (first-come, first-serve).
Borah has a large shelter that may be reserved for events, picnics and ceremonies. The small shelter is available at a first-come, first-serve basis.
Restrooms are now closed and park drinking fountains are turned off for the winter.

Smoking is prohibited in all public parks, including within 20 feet of the Boise Greenbelt, except in designated areas within Ann Morrison and Julia Davis parks and city-owned golf courses.
