The Mayor works full-time, managing the day-to-day operations of the City and providing leadership and policy direction to the City Council. The Mayor chairs all meetings of the City Council,
voting only in the case of a tie. The six members of the City Council work part-time, holding budget and policy-setting authority for the city. The Mayor and City Council members are elected
at large by popular vote. City Council members are elected to a specific Council seat, but the seats are not determined geographically. City elections are held in odd number years (e.g. 2007, 2009, 2011).

MILITARY RESERVE BIKE SKILLS PARK + DOG OFF-LEASH PARK
Boise Parks and Recreation invites neighbors to comment on preliminary designs for the new East End dog off-leash park and archery range relocation plan.
The Archery Range is an addition to the Military Reserve for those who enjoy the recreation of archery.

The Archery Range is available at a drop-in basis with no
cost to users.
It may be reserved for Community Events. There is a
$50/day reservation fee. Call our reservation line at (208)
608-7644 to make a reservation.
Smoking is prohibited in all public parks, including within 20 feet of the Boise Greenbelt, except in designated areas within Ann Morrison and Julia Davis parks and city-owned golf courses.
NOTE: E-cigarettes are not prohibited under the ordinances.
