Current Greenbelt closure and construction
Before you plan your ride or walk with your family, it’s important to know there is one construction project along the way.
The Boise Parks and Recreation team understands that these closures and detours can be an inconvenience, but we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the Greenbelt experience for all users.
August 20, 2018 PHASE II OF WHITEWATER PARK CONSTRUCTION
A section of Greenbelt path stretching from Veterans Memorial Park to Esther Simplot Park will be closed starting Tuesday, September 4 as construction starts on Phase 2 of the J. A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation Boise Whitewater Park. Please obey all posted signs and stay out of closed areas for your own safety. This closure is expected to continue into 2019 due to the complexity of the project and use of large machinery in the area. Detour signs will be in place and Greenbelt users are encouraged to cross over to the south side of the Greenbelt for connectivity from Veterans Memorial Parkway to Orchard Street and beyond. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this project is completed!
