Crews start closing park restrooms Oct. 14

Boise Parks and Recreation crews will begin winterizing restrooms and drinking fountains starting Oct. 14.

Although most restrooms will be closed, 17 remain open year-round in high traffic areas, including: 

 

  • Ann Morrison Park (near the playground)
  • Boise River Greenbelt (Lander Street) 
  • Camel's Back Park
  • Esther Simplot Park
  • Fort Boise Park
  • Hobble Creek Park
  • Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve
  • Julia Davis Park (Agriculture Pavilion)
  • Kathryn Albertson Park (main parking lot)
  • Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park (shelter)
  • Marianne Williams Park
  • Morris Hill Park
  • Oregon Trail Reserve
  • Parkcenter Park
  • Shoreline Park
  • Terry Day Park
  • Veterans Memorial Park

Portable restrooms will be provided throughout the winter at:  

  • Baggley Park
  • Boise River Park
  • Borah Park
  • Cassia Park
  • Charles F. McDevitt Youth Sports Complex
  • Fairmont Park
  • Ivywild Park
  • Julia Davis Park
  • Liberty Park
  • Military Reserve Archery Range/Dog Off-Leash Area
  • Optimist Youth Sports Complex
  • Peppermint Park
  • Pine Grove Park 
  • Redwood Park
  • Rhodes Park
  • Quarry View Park
  • Winstead Park

Most park restrooms will reopen in mid-April, weather permitting.
