Tree Related Emergency/After Hours Information

Community Forestry staff is ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to tree related emergencies (branches or trees down on streets or sidewalks, etc.):

emergencyresponse.jpgMonday through Friday (7:00am - 4:30pm):  (208) 608-7700.

Outside of business hours or on weekends and holidays:  1-866-298-8766.

For other after hours Parks related emergencies (i.e. irrigation problems, restrooms) call this number: 1-866-298-8758.

Be prepared to provide the address of the emergency, size of tree or branch, and if the branch is broken and hanging in the tree or is on the ground.

If overhead wires are involved, DO NOT APPROACH! Contact Idaho Power Emergency Services at (208) 388-2323. Trees can conduct electricity and you could be seriously injured.

If someone has been injured or there is a fire, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Community Forestry staff will remove the tree or branch from the street or sidewalk.  If the branches are from public trees (street trees), staff will take the branch away; if the tree or branch is from a privately owned tree, the debris will be moved off the street or sidewalk, but the tree owner must haul the debris away.

For any other tree related inquiry outside of our office hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), please leave a voicemail message at (208) 608-7700 highlighting the details of your tree question along with your name, contact phone number and the address of where the tree is located.  We will call you back as soon as we return to the office.
