Adopt a Tree / Adopt a Bench Programs

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department's Adopt-A-Tree and Bench Programs are popular ways to remember important people, dates and events in someone’s life.

All tree and bench adoptions are for a 20-year renewable term and will receive maintenance consistent with department standards throughout the term of the adoption. Damaged or vandalized adoptions will be repaired or replaced by Boise Parks and Recreation through the term of the adoption.

Memorial Tree

Existing trees (established for at least 2 years) may be adopted at designated city park sites by individuals, groups or organizations.  A 6" x 12" granite plaque encased in concrete will accompany the adoption.  The cost to adopt a tree depends on the location and diameter of the tree.

Memorial Bench

Available bench types are based on location and will be accompanied by a bronze plaque or granite plaque depending on the type of bench that is being adopted. The cost to adopt a bench depends on the location and type of the bench.
