During the winter months, the center becomes a safe, warm day-use shelter for families experiencing homelessness. 

The remainder of the year, the Pioneer Neighborhood Kid City program is a free after-school drop-in program for youth age 5-17 years. Kid City focuses on fitness, art programs, homework assistance, games and providing a positive environment. Each day a healthy snack is served. Staffed by Boise Parks and Recreation employees, the center houses seven computers, books and games, art supplies, foosball and air hockey tables, television and a large collection of toys.

Smoking Prohibition

Boise Smokefree Park SignSmoking is prohibited in all public parks, including within 20 feet of the Boise Greenbelt, except in designated areas within Ann Morrison and Julia Davis parks and city-owned golf courses.

NOTE: E-cigarettes are not prohibited under the ordinances.
