Phillippi Park

2299 S PHILLIPPI ST

phillippi.jpgThe City of Boise purchased the property for Phillippi Park in September 1971 from Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hooper. The 8.5-acre park features a playground, basketball courts, a tennis court, horseshoe pit, open play areas, practice fields and restrooms. A covered picnic shelter can be reserved for small picnics.

Several park improvements were funded by city Neighborhood Reinvestment Grants awarded to the Hillcrest Neighborhood Association.

The City Arts & History Department's Percent for Art program funded a public art project by Elizabeth Wolf in the park.
