Dogs Off-Leash Parks/Areas

Boise City Code requires that dogs be on a leash at all City Parks & Facilities, unless otherwise indicated. The City of Boise offers a variety of opportunities for dogs and their owners to roam freely, including four Dog Off-Leash Parks, six Dog-Off Leash Areas, and a number of trails in the Boise Foothills. The four Dog Off-Leash Parks and designated foothills trails are available everyday from sunrise to sunset. The six Dog Off-Leash Areas are available for off-leash use during designated hours.

City to host 10 education sessions about dog rules, off-leash areas.
View the press release for a list of locations and times.

There are also Training and Agility Grounds available that can be used to conduct training, classes, and practice with dogs off-leash by permit only.

The City has a number of additional dog parks in the works as well (Borah, Bowler, and Murgoitio Parks), that will be developed once funding is available.
