Learn about Boise's fire history at free adult education program

Join us for our monthly Sunset Series program from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the Foothills Learning Center for a discussion of Boise's fire history.

This free drop-in program is open to adults. No pre-registration is required.

As the ever present vista of Table Rock's charred landscape keeps fire on our minds, Martha Brabec, City of Boise's new Restoration Specialist, will share Boise's fire history and our changing high desert landscape. We will discuss our increasingly dry environment, the spreading of invasive plants, and the challenges that face the foothills' recovery from flames.

The Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center is operated by Boise Parks and Recreation. To get there, take 8th Street to Hulls Gulch Reserve in North Boise. Watch for signs 1/3 mile past the end of the pavement.
