Go birding with an expert May 8 at the Foothills center

Learn about some of the amazing birds in Hull's Gulch at a free Sunset Series program from 7-8:30 p.m. May 8 at the Foothills Learning Center, 3188 Sunset Peak Road.

Leanne Lloyd-Fairey, a long-time Audubon member and a wonderful teacher, will share information about field guides, binoculars, birding tips, and then lead a walk where you can test your skills. Hulls Gulch is a wonderful place to see birds of all kinds - from the tiny jewels to the biggest raptors.

No preregistration is required. All skill levels are welcome.

The Foothills Learning Center is operated by Boise Parks & Recreation. To get here, take 8th Street north through Boise's North End to Hull's Gulch Reserve. From the end of the pavement go 1/3 mile farther. For information see the City of Boise's environmental education website at www.BoiseEnvironmentalEducation.org. Or call (208) 493-2530 or TDD/TTY 800-377-3529.
