New jellyfish, African cichlid exhibit opens at Zoo Boise

Zoo Boise has opened a new jellyfish and African cichlid fish exhibit featuring tanks with moon jellies swimming in the current and one aquarium with mbuna cichlid fish.

Mbuna cichlid fish are native to Lake Malawi in Africa. Visitors can see these new exhibits by entering the African Schoolhouse next to the lion exhibit. 

The jellyfish and cichlids are the first aquarium exhibit at Zoo Boise.

Zoo Boise is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, a national organization that supports excellence in animal care, conservation, education and science.  Located in Julia Davis Park, Zoo Boise is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily year round.
