Camping Trips

camp1.jpgAdVenture offers two camping trips each year including a Tent Camping Trip near McCall Idaho and a remote wilderness Fly-In trip in the Frank Church Wilderness (called the Wilderness Within Reach Fly-In).

These camping trips give individuals with disabilities the ability to participate in a unique camping experiences including playing games, campfire cooking and relaxing in a beautiful location. All participants will help with camping chores and get the opportunity to relax in the wilderness while socializing with other participants.

AdVenture's camping trips are ideal for individuals who enjoy being in the great outdoors.  For most camping trips the activity level is moderate as we will take short hikes in the nearby wilderness.  Due to the nature of the Tent Camping Trip, ALL campers must be able to get in and out of a tent independently and enjoy being outdoors. The Wilderness Within Reach Fly-In is offered to individuals who have physical disabilities that affect their mobility (those who use a wheelchair, walker, AFO braces, etc.). Each trip includes all meals, transportation from Fort Boise Community Center (the Fly-In trip will meet at the airport), camping fees and group equipment. camp2.jpg

"I never thought that I would be able to go back into the wilderness again.  Without your help and assistance none of this would be possible for me.  I really enjoyed sitting by the campfire and talking to everyone about my experiences."-AdVenture Fly-In Participant
